Palm improves expansion support

Palm has enhanced support for multiple expansion standards in the handheld OS.

The development architecture is going to be bundled later on versions of PalmOS. It promises to help make the platform more flexible. All PalmOS licensees is going to be allowed to make use of the brand new technology to integrate any expansion standard to their items.

The brand new architecture props up Secure Digital (SD) Card, Sony’s MemoryStick, CompactFlash, Handspring’s Springboard modules and Palms’ presently supported expansion options.

Palm hopes future expansion options includes Bluetooth wireless connectivity, ebooks, MP3 gamers and much more. Kodak, Toshiba, SanDisk and Matsushita have the ability to items in development for Palm which will offer the new SD standard. Palm items supporting the brand new architecture should ship in 2001.

    You don’t have to be standing to use the Vive. It can be a seated experience just like the Rift. Makes porting from Rift to Vive a lot easier then the other way around. Elite Dangerous is now exclusively supporting the Vive. For reference
